Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this for?
BoMA School of Paint is for kids and teens ages 4-17, along with an adult who cares about them. Adults will participate fully, just like the kids and teens.
Can a child attend alone?
Nope! But adulting sucks, so why would you skip this? Come relax, spend quality time with a child or teen, and discover a hobby you can enjoy together.
Can a different person join each session?
Yep! Keep in mind if you join for part 2 of a two-part painting, you will finish the other person’s painting. Please plan accordingly. Swapping canvases is fun!
What if I need to cancel?
All purchases and bookings are final. If you find someone to take your place, just let me know.
Why just Still Water Neighborhood?
I have a master’s in education and years of teaching experience, but BoMA is brand new. You’re my guinea pigs.
Do you offer any discounts?
Only for buddy passes, but you could replicate all BoMA sessions at home. Buy materials here, sign up for video lessons, and go for it!

Don’t drop off your kid for another activity. Join them.
For parents who feel guilty for not having more quality time with their kids, and are overwhelmed with adulting, and don’t have time for hobbies they used to enjoy, BoMA School of Paint is a 1:1 activity for parents and children that introduces a new easy hobby in an unintimidating way, puts parents and children on the same level so they can connect with each other, and provides individual mental health benefits as well. Unlike other art classes, BoMA includes parents and children together, rather than children only. Unlike music classes, BoMA never involves public performance, so it’s less intimidating. Unlike athletic activities, BoMA is never scary, and it provides easy access to all the materials you need to take the new hobby home with you. And unlike all of the above, BoMA intends to create an online ecosystem for selling original art.
